The Workstation Identifiers option is used to specify specific information about the location of your IndySoft workstation.

Note: if you see any setting in the User/Location Settings dialog that has this toggle visible to the right:



Then this setting is set up as a global preference, and CANNOT be modified by individual users in the User/Location Settings. Please have your Administrator edit this setting in Setup Global Preferences within Profile Manager as needed.Workstation Name

This field gives your workstation a name. Certain options in the Event Configuration module can be set up on a workstation basis. This field defaults to your workstation's Windows name.

Crib Number

This is an optional field stating the Crib where this workstation is located. Throughout IndySoft, whenever a 'default' crib for a user is needed, this field will be used.

Department Name

This is an optional field stating the Department where this workstation is located. Throughout IndySoft, whenever a 'default' department for a user is needed, this field will be used.

Location Code

The location code is an option that can specify a computer as part of a particular location or group of other workstations. All Events defined in the Event Configuration wizard can be set up to display/not display based on a workstation's Location code.

Branch

The related branch for this user/location. Branches are set from the Add/Edit...Companies...Companies list, but are filtered only to show Companies with the 'Branch' checkbox ON.

Base Location

Locations are set from the Add/Edit...System-Wide...Location Tree Editor. Set this location to specify the appropriate top node for this user/location. When this user/location is valid for the current login, only the locations shown at this level and below will be available for selection for this user in IndySoft.

Default Check-Out Location (Optional)

Locations are set from the Add/Edit...System-Wide...Location Tree Editor. Set this location to specify the location that should be defaulted into check-out type events into the 'Location (To)' field, if visible in the event. |
