Repair

The Repair event can be launched by selecting the "Events" option on the main screen and then "Repair."

The Repair event is good to use when conducting on-site repairs or service to equipment. There are typically four steps to the Repair event, but as with all events in IndySoft, it can be modified using the Event Configuration Wizard. For more information about using the Event Configuration Wizard, please refer to the user help files.

Step 1 - Supply the Event Information

Step 2 - Add Service/Repair Parts and Charges

Note: Service/Repair parts can be added through Add/Edit > Parts > Service/Repair Parts to allow for a part selection list.

By clicking the "Add" icon, charges for work can be added.

By clicking the "Add" icon, Service and Repair Parts can be added.

Choosing Service/Repair Parts for the Repair Event

This event tab can enter information about a repair or service event on the selected equipment. Both parts and labor items can be entered. All items are listed in the grid, which shows an overview of line item costs and calculates the total cost for the repair/service below the grid. There are several ways to add part or labor items:

Add a Repair Part (Insert)

_img155 This button will pop up the "Select a Repair Part" dialog, allowing you to specify the part company, part number, quantity of items, unit cost ($'s), and any notes about the part. Service/Repair parts can be added to the drop-down list from the IndySoft main screen using the "Add/Edit" menu option. An example of this dialog is shown below:

Choose From Repair Parts Assigned to Gage (Ctrl+Insert)

_img157 This button will pop up a dialog listing all Service/Repair parts assigned to the selected equipment on the IndySoft equipment layout Service/Repair Parts list. This listing of equipment should designate the parts typically required when performing a repair or service upon this piece of equipment. An example of this dialog is below:


Choose Repair Part (from the Associations tab default information)

The total will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3 - Enter any Repair Procedures that might apply to the repair process

NOTE: Event docs can contain images to log repair evidence.
