System Preferences - Equipment Groups
Note: the topic below only applies to the Tool Management version of IndySoft.

System-Wide Preferences...Equip. Groups
Equipment Groups control inventory-control functionality within the Tool Management version of IndySoft. All assets are assigned to one (and only one) equipment group. An unlimited # of equipment groups can be created, but each equipment group name MUST be correlated to one of these four base groups:
·CONSUMABLE - Inventory control; "In"-type events are not required after "Out"-type events. (Quantities/Bins tab/dialog is seen from Equipment View)
·GAGE - Quantity always 1; Equipment can be calibrated; Can be marked as master/standard
·HAND TOOL - Inventory Control (Quantities/Bins tab/dialog is seen from Equipment View)
·UNIQUE TOOL - Quantity always 1
Use this Equipment Groups tab in System-Wide PreWerences to set up these custom group names and associate them with a base group type:

Note : When using the Tool Management version of IndySoft, the current Equipment Group for the asset currently selected in Equipment View will be displayed on the top of the status panel:

To modify an asset's current equipment group, use the CHANGEEQUIPGROUP hyperlink in the Equipment View layout - use LayoutBuilder to add text with this hyperlink, if needed. |
